Packing List for Treatment
Bring a week of comfortable clothes, your ID and insurance cards, and any prescriptions in their original labeled bottles. Leave valuables and anything with alcohol content at home. Whether you are packing your own bag or helping a loved one, keep it simple. Our staff sorts out the rest on arrival day.
Packing List for Treatment, The Details
Standing in front of a suitcase the night before treatment starts can feel harder than it should. You want to get it right for yourself or for someone you love, so here is a plain list of what actually helps once you walk through the door.
Bring these:
- Comfortable clothing for about a week, including layers for cooler rooms and something you can relax in
- A photo ID and your insurance card
- Any current prescriptions in their original labeled bottles, so our medical team can verify them
- A list of phone numbers you may need, since you likely will not have your usual contacts memorized
Leave these at home:
- Alcohol, non prescribed medications, and anything containing them (mouthwash, some lotions)
- Valuables and large amounts of cash
- Clothing with references to drugs or alcohol
If you are unsure about a specific item, pack it separately and ask at check in. Nobody expects you to have everything perfect. Arriving is the hard part, and once you are here we help sort out the rest.
